The West Virginia Search and Rescue Council started in September 2008 with an initial meeting in Ripley, West Virginia of approximately 40 individuals from various Search and Rescue Related entities in the state. Since that time there have been numerous meetings that have ultimately led to Articles of Incorporation and Bylaws.
The primary purpose of the council is to bring about a coordinated system of standards for those organizations practicing search and rescue within the boundaries of the state of West Virginia. |
